1. Age: 16
1b. where are you from: NZ
1c. what Timezone are you in: Pacific (Auckland), GMT +13:00
2. Ingame name:
Heillos
3. Regular internet name:
Heillos
4. Experience in game:
Have been playing for approximately 2 months, in-depth understanding of game mechanics involved in shipbuilding, particularly cloaking and jamming, and ship designs enabling this.
5. Experience in other games:
I have spent about a year on-and-off over a few characters in EVE Online, with a focus on scanning throughout, ending my (relatively short) career there as a high-sec awoxer. I have played Minecraft for some time, with work mainly in redstone and smaller building. I also have other past experience in MMOs and online games, such as WoW, Guild Wars 2 and Planetside 2.
6. Experience in real life:
Still a student, relatively skilled in drawing and design, and a member of my school's VEX Robotics program, with a focus on design and building. (http://www.vexrobotics.com/vex)
7. why choose us?
From what I have observed, the ECU is the one faction willing to go to any length to succeed. For example, even the Vaygr have aesthetic combat ships, whereas the ECU accepts that function is paramount, whatever the cost to form.
8. what do you expect/want from a faction you would join, what will make us a good home?
I expect a mature, well-controlled community, which is implied in the high recruitment standards of this faction and the Odium Pact. I think the ECU will be a good home because Ridik's experience has given the faction a unique perspective, one which has led to the ECU's famous spy network, well thought-out combat, and overall high quality. As mentioned above, the faction's willingness to be ruthless also encouraged me to join - EVE Online taught me a few things about 'fairness' and 'honour'.
9. any questions?
No.
10. what are your personal goals within this faction? do you want to achieve a specific rank, or the respect of your peers, build something great?
While playing this game, I've always been interested in constructing stealthy (cloak+jam) ships, but outside of solo griefing, have never had the chance to put them through their paces. I have a rather large design under construction right now, which I believe will be interesting, perhaps even useful - so I suppose that comes under the 'build something great' category. Otherwise, I simply want to contribute what I can to what seems to be the most high-quality faction yet.
11. what is your opinion of other factions, we don't keep allies so if you are friendly to another faction would you have issue shooting them?
Before applying to the ECU, I have not been involved in any other faction, and have no ties to them. I have personal opinions of the more notable factions, but will not let them get in the way.
